World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game.
The most popular of all such games, it boasts 11.4 million paying players.
If it were considered a country, it would be the 73rd most populous, higher on the list than Greece, Sweden, and the Czech Republic.
If it were a state, it would be the 8th most populous, with 1 and a half million more people than Michigan.
If it were a city, it would be the 6th most populous, coming in ahead of Tokyo, New York City, and London.

And I still do not understand its ungoing popularity. Sure it was decent when it launched but now there is a ton of games with better entertainment/time ratio out there

I played that game for a while - it's really addicting, pretty crazy that it has more active subscribers than some countries.

I would not want to live in the World of Warcraft city. I played from just after launch to after Ulduar was released (ugh, nerd memories), & while I still have friends I made while playing, altogether, it was so much wasted time.

I heard that their subs are dropping. It's still a good game (seriously, it's well-designed in many ways) but the community is really horrendous.

They really should move all the WoW players to their own country or city. Could you imagine it? Ah... A city full of nerds...

They'd name that land Mega Tokyo or something else that references comic books or video games like that.
